EPL and La Liga refuse to release players for CONMEBOL WCQs, Argentina to lose 13 Players

Yesterday, Premier League released official statement that all EPL clubs have unanimously decided not to release players for international matches played in red-list countries next month. Hence, 4 Argentina players Emiliano Martinez, Cristian Romero, Gio Lo Celso and Emiliano Buendia got ruled out for upcoming World Cup qualifiers in September.

Today, after EPL, now La Liga has officially refused to release players for South American World Cup Qualifiers. Argentina to lose 9 more players Gerónimo Rulli, Gonzalo Montiel, Germán Pezzella, Juan Foyth, Marcos Acuña, Rodrigo De Paul, Guido Rodríguez, Papu Gómez and Ángel Correa who play in La Liga.

Argentina will lose total 13 players and Brazil will lose total 12 from both leagues ahead of the Superclassico WCQ on September 5.
