EMI MARTINEZ: “They should have warned us before”

Emiliano Martinez opens up in a candid interview with TyC Sports regarding the unforeseen events during the cancelled match between Argentina and Brazil. ANVISA, the health authority of Brazil along with the federal police tried to detain the 4 EPL based players in Argentina squad. “We all know what happened. We prepared for 3 days in Brazil to play the match and having it cancelled after 5 minutes is a bitter feeling. For political reasons, don’t know why, the match was canceled and we had to retreat ”

“There were rumors that those from the Premier league would not be able to play the match, but they could have warned us when we arrived in Brazil and we would not have made so much trouble to have the match cancelled. Simple. They should have warned us before.”
